The Runway For The IT Girl
The second runway I went to at Melbourne’s Royal Exhibition Building for VAMFF was Runway 7, presented by Grazia. With a focus on luxury styling, this show had more of those glamorous evening and event looks, but there were still a few classic pieces that I would have happily taken home with me.
Of course, I was drawn to the more neutral tones, but there were so many vibrant colours on the runway – especially from Adelaide brands Keepsake The Label and Finders – which is quite a refreshing change for Autumn.
My favourite designer was Asilio – they know how to do a good monochrome piece. I love how they’re incorporating logo trim in their designs, it’s very Dior inspired but much more accessible. I feel the label as a whole is shifting to become more high end, with the addition of more unique pieces with intricate detailing and quality craftmanship. My favourite piece was this Revolution Bustier Top – it’s such a classic style and I just love the silver belt detailing and the square neckline.
What do you think of Asilio’s latest collection? x
