And cue: my long-line jacket obsession
It’s finally spring, which means trying to get away with summer clothing but ending up layering. Trench coats are the perfect piece to get you through this transeasonal period; they’re lightweight and have a flattering long-line design. You can wear it tied up, to protect from the wind and unwanted cold, or untied for a more off-duty look. It’s the type of staple piece that gets a shake up every year, with this season’s obsession the pink trench, but a good classic trench will never fade in style.
This one is an old season Wish, proving that trench coats are a staple to be worn year in, year out. I love styling black on black but I do like to break it up with some lighter colours. I find that navy and white work perfectly with black, and the red love heart on this top adds a pop of colour.
The thing I love most about trench coats is how they can be dressed up and down—for night or day. And because my Stan Smiths are the most comfortable shoes I own, I love to create a dressed down look with that sport chic vibe. Walking around in Melbourne in this exact outfit felt like I was no longer a tourist, just FYI.
